 Just a brief word from us to let you know a few things that are happening at GLSC.

Tomato Contest

Yes, our 2014 Tomato Contest will be bigger and better than ever.  We have award winning pizza chef from Little Caesars Pizzeria, Theo Kalogeracos as a celebrity judge.  His grandfather was a tomato grower in Geraldton, and he loves the idea of encouraging people to grow their own tasty tomatoes!

You will need to bring your tomatoes in to us by 4.00pm Sunday, 26th January (Australia Day).  Preferably bring in two per variety you wish to enter.  Entry is a gold coin donation which will go to charity.

Prizes will be awarded for the best tasting tomato/es, largest, smallest - and other novelty catagories.  Prizes will include pizza vouchers, some of Theo's wonderful pizza books, gardening prizes and of course a Certificate to show off to your friends and relatives.

Sizzling Summer Pea Straw Offer for our VIP Customers

It can be difficult to keep your garden looking great over our very hottest months of the year. 

For YOU, our special VIP customers, we would like to offer you a very discounted rate on our quality pea straw mulch.  Regularly $21 per bale (or $18 if you buy 5 or more), we are offering bales for $12.00 each - with any purchase over $50.  Limit of 5 bales per customer, and valid until 5pm Sunday 26th February.

If you're coming in to collect Pea Straw please ring ahead - while we usually have stock, it's always best to check in case we're waiting on a new order to come in from the country.

eWood is Here!

GLSC has just taken on the distributorship of eWood in WA.  eWood is made from recycled plastics (mostly printer cartridges) and is STRONG and attractive. 

It comes in modular packs (predrilled and ready to assemble with supplied stainless steel screws), planks and sleepers and is perfect for raised garden beds (especially square foot gardens), retaining walls - even decking.
